Our champions in military service were banned from participating in the championship without any reasonable explanation. Former deputy minister of KGSMS

The former deputy minister of KGSM Grisha Maksimi Tamrazyan issued a statement.

"In the last three years, I have attended almost all major tournaments with the wrestling team, including the world and European championships, as well as the Olympic Games in Paris. The boys' victories always give us great pride, but we are especially excited about the victories against the Turkish and Azerbaijani wrestlers.

Knowing in advance that this year's World Army Wrestling Championship will take place in Armenia, the wrestlers were very excited that with their victories they could raise the spirit of the army and celebrate our compatriots.

Although there are athletes in other teams who are not in conscript service (which is not prohibited by law), our officials made it clear before the tournament that only conscripts will be in the Armenian team this year.

The first disappointment occurred among the athletes after hearing that answer.

For years, all countries have contracted their top athletes to participate in and win the Army Championship.

The second disappointment happened on November 15, when our champions who were in military service, without any reasonable explanation, were also banned from participating in the championship.
By the way, Turkey is participating in the championship in Armenia with its "first team".

Turkey has two world and European champions (one current), two European champions and multiple prize winners of the world and European championships. It is important that our champions spoke out that they were not included in the national team and the public was informed about all this.
I am sure that the Armenian national team would have won a sure victory in the case of appearing with the "first team".
It remains to be understood where our young wrestlers are taken instead of champions, to a planned defeat...

Guys, keep your heads up, you have proven many times on the carpet that you are winners and Armenia will become a country of winners again."
