In the 8th round of the ongoing European Individual Chess Championship in Petrovac, Montenegro, Manuel Petrosyan, one of the representatives of Armenia, shared the point with Rauf Mamedov from Azerbaijan, Robert Hovhannisyan with Alexander Motilev from Moldova, Emin Ohanyan with Rasmus Swane from Germany, Aram Hakobyan with Daniele Vocaturo from Italy, Gabriel Sargsyan with Jan Malek from Poland, Mamikon Gharibyan with Aydin Suleimanli from Azerbaijan. Shant Sargsyan lost to Polish Szymon Gumularz with black pieces. Eric Gasparyan won the only victory among the representatives of Armenia.

Among the representatives of Armenia, Robert Hovhannisyan, Manuel Petrosyan and Aram Hakobyan recorded the best result, all three of them have 6 points and share the 4th-22nd places.
