A biometric control system similar to the “Amina” system is being introduced throughout Russia to monitor migrants entering the country and their movement within the country. This was announced by Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev in an interview with the “Vedomosti” newspaper. “Amina” is currently operating in the capital Moscow and the Moscow region. Medvedev said that Moscow has accumulated extensive experience in introducing and using such systems, and taking this experience into account, a similar system will be introduced and used in other regions.
