In the center of the Indian capital, posters with a portrait of Russian President Vladimir Putin and greetings to him have been put up ahead of the BRICS summit, a RIA Novosti correspondent reports. Putin arrived in the Indian capital on Friday morning to attend the BRICS summit and hold a number of bilateral meetings.
“India welcomes Russian President Vladimir Putin,” reads a poster in English posted along the road.
Above the portrait of the Russian leader is the summit symbol, and the edges of the poster are decorated with colorful patterns. Nearby is a large billboard with the image of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the BRICS symbols.
