Four people have been injured, one of them in a critical condition, after an alleged stabbing on a London street. Police have arrested seven people, Sky News reports.
Emergency services were called to reports of a fight on Bromley High Street in the south-east of the British capital at around 2.15pm on Thursday, September 10.
Police said seven men had been arrested. All remain in custody and enquiries are ongoing. Police said they did not believe the incident posed a threat to the general public.
London Ambulance Service said four people were treated at the scene and all were taken to hospital. One of the people is in a critical condition, while the other three have non-life-threatening injuries.
Several ambulances, a paramedic in an emergency response vehicle, an incident response officer and a highly qualified specialist were sent to assist. The London Air Ambulance also arrived at the scene.
Police are continuing to establish the circumstances of the incident. Forensic scientists are working at the scene.
Peter Fortune, the MP for Bromley and Biggin Hill, said he was aware of the incident and understood the concerns of residents in the area. He said he would remain in contact with police as the investigation continues.
Bromley County officials described the incident as "terrible news" and thanked emergency services for their work in difficult conditions.
Police have not yet released the circumstances of the collision or said what exactly caused the incident.
