Slovak Foreign Minister Juraj Blanár has condemned the Russian attack on the building of the Security Service of Ukraine (SSU) in Kiev, which is located next to the consular section of the Slovak Embassy. This was stated in a statement published by the country's foreign ministry on the X social network.
"We strongly condemn today's attack by a Russian jet drone on the building of the Security Service of Ukraine, which is located next to the consular section of the Slovak Embassy in Kiev," Blanár said.
According to him, the consular section is operating in a limited mode for security reasons. There were no employees there at the time of the attack.
"We call on Russia to refrain from actions that could endanger the lives and safety of innocent civilians. At the same time, we call on both sides to avoid further escalation, which only increases tensions and does not contribute to a peaceful resolution of the conflict,” the Slovak Foreign Minister wrote.
Blanar also said that he had instructed the Russian ambassador to Slovakia to be summoned to the country’s Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs.
