At least 27 people killed, hundreds evacuated in attacks near Kiev



At least 27 people were killed and 42 others, including four children, were injured in overnight drone strikes in the Kyiv region, Kyiv regional governor Timur Tkachenko said. He said residential buildings were damaged in the Buchai district and 381 people were evacuated.

Rescue and search operations continued Saturday morning. Tkachenko also reported that a 14-year-old child was killed in a separate attack in the Boryspil district. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky expressed condolences to the families of the victims, noting that more than 300 rescuers were working at the site of the strikes.

According to the Ukrainian Armed Forces, 233 Russian drones were destroyed overnight. According to Zelensky, strikes were also carried out in the Odessa, Dnipropetrovsk, Sumy, and Zaporizhia regions.
