The police officer accompanying Hayk Konjoryan's brother, Avet Konjoryan, was fired. This was reported to the media by the Ministry of Internal Affairs
The Ministry of Internal Affairs does not specify whether the employee was fired as a result of the official investigation or not. So far, the CC has not specified the status of the police officer, whether Konjoryan is being prosecuted or not.
Let's remind that on the night of July 24-25, after midnight, Avet Konjoryan was severely beaten at the porch of his house. Regarding the incident, criminal proceedings were initiated in the Kotayk Marz Investigation Department of the RA Investigative Committee with the characteristics of physical aggression and hooliganism by a group of people. There are five defendants in the criminal proceedings regarding the beating of Avet Konjoryan, including Nairi Hakobyan, a member of the Council of Elders of Abovyan community. The latter are charged with Article 195, Part 2, Clause 5 of the Criminal Code (physical intervention committed by a group of persons).
From the video spread on the Internet, it becomes obvious how Avet Konjoryan drives around Nairi Hakobyan's house accompanied by a patrol officer, shouting curses. Several reports were presented about that episode, in which they demanded an assessment not only of Avet Konjoryan's actions, but also of the police officer. Now, criminal proceedings have been initiated in the Criminal Investigation Department on the grounds of hooliganism.
