There are intense discussions in the KP on which permanent committees of the National Assembly should be chaired as a priority, and not to leave the strategic and key committees to the opposition. The point is that according to Dont's formula, if the maximum number of 12 committees is formed in the parliament, as in the previous one, then the chairmanship of three committees will go to the "Strong Armenia" faction, and one to the "Armenia" bloc.
And the commissions will be distributed among the factions according to the following procedure: first the CP will elect two commissions, then the "strong" ones will choose one, then two again - the CP, one - the "strong", and the last one will go to the "Armenia" alliance, which, by the way, has decided to give up the presidency, in that case the given commission will also lead the CP.
According to our information, for several days there have been intense discussions in the CP, first of all, whether to take the two commissions: the state legal and foreign relations commission, or instead of the last one, the defense commission. The point is that both are key commissions, the CP especially does not want to concede the appearance to the opposition, because this commission actually implements parliamentary diplomacy, accepts foreign partners, something that the opposition needs like air.
That they restore ties with European partners, convey information about what is happening in our country, and try to reduce Pashinyan's European support a little. On the other hand, the Defense Committee does not want to lose power. CP's hope is that the "strong" will prefer the economy to defense and will take over the economic affairs committee, not the defense, and they will take over the defense committee in the second round. The "strong" assured us that they have not yet decided on the commissions, they will make a decision according to the situation.
They also assured that the presidents of the commissions have not been decided either, they will decide when it becomes known which commissions they will take over as presidents. They have no experience, but they already know how to lie and evade journalists' questions.
