A magnetic storm is expected on Earth within the next 24 hours. This was reported by the "Phobos" weather center.
"Forecast models show a possible increase in the speed of the solar wind to 600 km/h and more. In such a situation, geomagnetic field disturbances can reach the level of a weak (G1) or moderate magnetic storm (G2). The probability of a magnetic storm is 75 percent," the message says.
According to "Phobos" data, the cause of the magnetic storm may be the ejection of the coronal mass on the Sun on July 30. It is predicted that the storm will start in the second half of the coming night and will last for about 6-9 hours.
According to the assessment of "Phobos" specialists, after that, disturbances of the geomagnetic field, but not at the level of a magnetic storm, will be maintained until the end of Sunday and the first half of Monday.
