In January-June 2026, 433 tons of peaches and nectar with a total value of 582 thousand dollars were delivered from Georgia to Russia. This is reported by the local mass media.
The second largest export destination was Armenia, where 367 tons of products worth $390,000 were sent.
Vakhtang Bezhitashvili, the president of the Association of Fruit and Vegetable Exporters, noted that dependence on the Russian market remains a serious risk for Georgian producers.
In his opinion, the only long-term solution is the diversification of export destinations and entering the European markets.
