US President Donald Trump said that in a conversation with Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney, he demanded more aggressive actions to control forest fires, from which smoke had previously covered several major US cities.
The American leader also did not rule out the possibility of demanding compensation from Ottawa. "I told him.
