The death toll from the twin earthquakes in Venezuela has reached 5,069, and more than 21,000 people remain in temporary camps, according to an official government statement issued by the President of the National Assembly, Jorge Rodríguez.
"5,069 people died, 16,740 were injured, and 6,462 people were saved," Rodriguez said in a statement published on the Telegram channel. During the last 24 hours, the number of victims increased by 139, while the number of survivors remained unchanged.
