British Prime Minister Keir Starmer bid farewell to the House of Commons on Wednesday before leaving office in a few days. "This is the end of my political journey. All those whose lives have been changed or improved by the Labor Government, who are fighting to make their voices heard.
I want to tell you that you are the reason why I entered politics. I want to tell my wife and children that I love you. Goodbye," Starmer said in his final speech in the House of Commons before leaving office. He said he left the country in better shape than he found it and thanked his fellow officials for their work.
The Prime Minister also joked that he "had an important meeting with the TV" on Wednesday night, referring to the England-Argentina match.
