An unmanned aerial vehicle of unknown origin crashed near the port of Faw in the south of Iraq, Al-Jazeera reported, referring to a source in the Iraqi security authorities. "An unknown unmanned aerial vehicle crashed near the port of Fau," the source said.
The authorities of Basra province stated in a press release that no material damages were recorded as a result of the incident.
Fo port is a strategic project for Iraqi authorities. Upon completion, it is expected to become the largest port in the Middle East.
