On July 11 and 12, the Eiffel Tower, as well as the main Parisian museums, the Louvre and Orsay, will reduce their working hours due to the hot weather.
This is mentioned in the relevant messages published on the institutions' websites.
Thus, the Eiffel Tower and the Louvre will be closed for visitors at 16:00 (17:00 Moscow time). The Orsay Museum will be open until 17:00 (18:00 Moscow time).
The cost of tickets purchased for later hours will be automatically refunded to buyers.
According to the Météo-France national meteorological service, the air temperature in Paris will reach 38 degrees. Due to the heat, the highest (red) level of danger has been declared in Paris and 24 other departments.
In June, France has already survived a long period of abnormal heat. During the two weeks starting from June 17, unusual temperatures for that month were recorded in the territory of the country. On June 23 and 24, the average air temperature was 30 degrees, and those days became the hottest in the entire history of meteorological observations in the republic. Against the background of prolonged heat, natural fires were registered in many regions.
