In the NA elections, the parties fight not only to occupy a place in the parliament, but their further activities depend on the number of voters' votes.
The point is that if the party overcomes 2%, the alliance - 4%, the state returns them the electoral deposit they paid. In addition, these political forces receive funding from the state for the next five years, until the next NA elections.
According to the law, the party thus weakens its dependence on private and business interests, as well as gets the opportunity to continue its activities. The amount of money received depends on the results: for each vote, they receive 1000 drams per year. The 2% threshold was overcome, but the National Assembly of Armenia, "Wings of Unity" and "Prosperous Armenia" parties did not receive a mandate.
At the same time, PAP lacks 62 votes to enter the parliament (this is not the final result, no recounting of votes took place). Thus, the Grace Party of Armenia received 30 thousand 797 votes or 2.11 percent of the votes and will receive 30 million 797 thousand drams from the budget for 5 years. "Wings of Unity" received 33 thousand 618 votes or 2.3 percent and, accordingly, It will receive 33 million 618 thousand drams for 5 years. PAP collected 58 thousand 368 votes and accordingly will receive 58 million 368 thousand drams annually. Let's note that the forces that passed the parliament will also receive this support, according to the same calculation logic, that is, much larger amounts.
