Currently, the interests of many states are clashing in the Middle East, and the situation in that region is unlikely to calm down in the near future. This was announced by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Sergey Lavrov.
"The Middle East is the focus of many global processes.
Even if they originate in other continents, in one way or another they are reflected in the Middle East, coming into conflict with the interests of other states.
And, unfortunately, at this stage, I do not think that this region will stabilize soon, despite the many initiatives that we are all aware of," the minister said at the 15th Middle East Conference of the Valdai International Discussion Club.
