"Fact" daily writes:
The Ministry of Health proposes to make an addition to the decision of the government No. 1377 of September 25, 2002. Currently, in the Republic of Armenia, general linear, pediatric, resuscitation, obstetric, psychiatric, diatary and other specialized brigades of emergency medical care are used, which imply the mandatory presence of equipped ambulances, but in international practice, another type of emergency care, which does not require a car, is also used - ambulance motor units.
The need for a motor unit is due to the vital importance of time. In the emergency system, every minute can be crucial, and heavy traffic, narrow streets and difficult yards often prevent emergency vehicles from arriving quickly. A doctor working on a motorcycle can bypass traffic jams, flexibly pass through the most difficult areas and reach the patient significantly faster. That quick reaction can literally cost a life in some cases, especially during cardiac arrest, a severe allergic reaction, a profound disturbance of consciousness, or severe bleeding, when every delay reduces the chance of a successful intervention.
The motor unit is not only fast, but also a fully professional unit, equipped with the necessary equipment, which allows you to immediately start stabilizing the patient's condition. A physician can monitor vital signs, ensure an open airway, reduce dangerous bleeding, and perform critical first aid steps.
This ensures that help starts when it is most needed, while the main ambulance is still on the way. Motor units also contribute to the optimization of the entire system. Lighter and more mobile, these units reduce the burden on the main vehicles, allowing them to focus on more serious and transportable cases. This approach increases the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the service without large additional investments.
In many countries of the world, ambulances provide a significant reduction in response time, increase the quality of first aid and are one of the best tools for providing fast, reliable and professional medical service.
The draft proposes to define the conditions and requirements for the implementation of the new motor unit for the implementation of activities outside the medical organization in the form of urgent and urgent medical care and service.
