Ukraine's public debt has increased by almost 30 percent

Ukraine's public debt has reached 213.3 billion dollars, which is almost 30 percent more than the figure at the end of 2024, the Ministry of Finance of the country said.

On November 2, 2025, the "European Solidarity" party represented in the Verkhovna Rada announced that since 2022, Ukraine's public debt has tripled, and it will take about 35 years to repay it.

Verkhovna Rada deputy Dmitry Razumkov noted in December that Ukraine's public debt has exceeded 100 percent of the country's gross domestic product (GDP), and the debt per citizen already exceeds $8,000.
