Rutte accused Russia, Iran and China of seeking a confrontation with NATO

The Russian Federation, Iran, China and North Korea allegedly "seek a protracted confrontation with NATO". NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte announced this during his speech at the "Global Europe" conference in the European Parliament, TASS reports.

He also noted that the military threat to the alliance "is real and will not disappear over time." According to Rutte, these four countries are "increasingly working together to challenge NATO", but the alliance "has an advantage" that lies in the long-standing partnership between its member states.

Moreover, he noted that the alliance considers Ukraine to be the "first line of defense" against Russia.
