The place where the stolen artefacts from the Louvre were taken has been found in France

French law enforcement officials found a garage in the Aubervilliers district of the northern suburbs of Paris where the thieves initially kept the jewels stolen from the Louvre, Parisien newspaper reported on Tuesday.

Earlier, BFMTV reported that French law enforcement officers found test stones for checking the gold content of objects, as well as tools, including tools for countering radio signals, in the possession of Slimane K., one of the men arrested in connection with the Louvre robbery.

"Two scooters were spotted entering an underground car park in the Fort d'Aubervilliers area, CCTV footage shows two drivers standing in front of the garage's stalls. Two figures can be seen admiring the jewelry and passing it from hand to hand for a few seconds," the message states.

The criminals returned to the garage several times.

On the night of October 22-23, they noticed that there were cameras in the parking lot and hid their faces, after which they left the garage in a white Citroen Berlingo car.

One of the suspects returned to the parking lot on October 23 and 25 to remove scooters and other abandoned items. Another suspect regularly returned to the parking lot until October 30, Parisien reported.

Law enforcement officials searched the garage, but neither the jewelry nor the car used by the criminals were found, the report states.
