Rutte said Trump is doing "good things" for NATO

NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte has stated that US President Donald Trump is doing good things for the military alliance and is encouraging its members to spend more on defense. His words were quoted by "European Pravda".

"I have always believed that when people help the alliance, they are doing a good deed. Donald Trump is doing the right things for NATO by encouraging us all to spend more to match US spending," Rutte said.

He also welcomed increased efforts by the Alliance to protect the Arctic. He added that "Denmark is already accelerating its defense investment, not only in general but also in unique defense capabilities." The NATO Secretary General has assured that the military alliance is moving in the right direction to strengthen Denmark's defences.
