US Energy Minister Chris Wright announced that American companies will be more actively involved in Venezuela's oil sector. The statement was made at the end of the week in the background of the meeting between US President Donald Trump and representatives of major oil companies on the issue of Venezuela.
The American leader noted that they will spend at least 100 billion dollars to restore production capacity and infrastructure. "Yes, of course, it is quite likely that you will see an increase in the presence of American companies there, of course you will see an increase in American involvement in that process," Wright said on CBS.
He also admitted that "Chevron" oil and gas concern will be present in Venezuela for the next 50 years.
