US President Donald Trump advised Cuba to cooperate with Washington "before it's too late".
"I strongly urge them to make a deal before it's too late," he wrote on the TruthSocial social network on Sunday.
According to Trump, "for years, Cuba has lived off a large amount of oil and money from Venezuela."
"In response, Cuba provided 'security services' to the last two Venezuelan dictators, but that will no longer be the case." Most of those Cubans died after the US attack last week, and Venezuela no longer needs protection from the thugs and extortionists who have held them hostage for years," the US president wrote.
He emphasized that "neither oil nor money will enter Cuba again".
Trump also called the idea of appointing US Secretary of State Marco Rubio as the President of Cuba excellent.
The user of social network X wrote that Rubio "will become the president of Cuba".
"Great idea," Trump wrote on Truth Social, commenting on the user's post.
