All points of entry into Russia must be equipped with biometric equipment, said Dmitry Medvedev, Deputy Head of the Security Council of Russia and Chairman of the "United Russia" party.

On Tuesday, Medvedev announced that he visited the Sheremetyevo airport checkpoint and checked the progress of the experiment to test the new rules for entering the Russian Federation.

"The government of Moscow is actively participating in equipping another 11 border checkpoints with biometric equipment. Naturally, this problem and these projects should be extended to all similar border checkpoints in the country," Medvedev said.
