The Russian court has extended the term of detention of members of the Azerbaijani community


The Yekaterinburg court has extended the pretrial detention of three members of the Azerbaijani diaspora who are accused of committing sensational murders, "Komsomolskaya Pravda" reports.


Aziz Abbasov, Shahin Lalaev and Akhliman Ganjiev are charged under Article 33, Part 3 and Article 105, Part 2, Clauses "з" and "ж" of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. "Murder committed by a group of persons with prior conspiracy, murder for hire, attempted murder for hire".


"The preliminary detention was extended until March 29, 2026. The court's decision has not yet entered into legal force. The parties have three days to appeal it," said the press service of the Sverdlovsk regional court.
