Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu expressed his opinion that the Australian authorities are not taking enough measures to combat terrorism and anti-Semitism and demanded that it be corrected immediately.
He made this statement during a conversation with Australian Jews affected by the terrorist attack in Sydney on December 14, the Prime Minister's Office reports.
"The Prime Minister noted that these criminal acts are the result of widespread anti-Semitism against the background of the spineless policies of the Australian authorities and the government, which must immediately use all available tools to eliminate terrorism and restore the safety of Jewish communities.
The Prime Minister emphasized that the State of Israel supports the Australian Jewish community and called for support for the Chabad delegates and Australian Jews," the statement said.
