Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk told "Polsat" TV station that President Karol Nawrocki did not answer his phone calls for weeks.
"He didn't answer the phone for weeks," complained Tusk.
"I did try to work closely with the president on foreign policy, but there was no response for weeks, including ignoring phone calls," the prime minister continued.
According to Tusk, "the beginning of relations with the president was not the worst." "At least the president answered SMS and phone calls," the head of the government reminded.
But then, "unfortunately, Mr. President and his people started doing everything to maintain the conflict and invade the government's powers," Tusk said.
Karol Nawroki became the president of Poland on August 6. From that moment on, the conflict between him and the prime minister began to escalate.
Back in August, Tusk promised to be "relentless" in his approach to the new president and his initiatives. In November, Nawrocki called Tusk "the worst prime minister in the history of Poland since 1989."
