The European Union intends to impose sanctions on 12 people who allegedly participated in the destabilization of Europe. This was announced by French Foreign Minister Jean-Noel Baron upon his arrival at the meeting of foreign ministers to be held in Brussels.
"Sanctions will be applied to 12 agents of Russia's destabilization in Europe. These are 12 individuals involved in foreign interference, including digital interference," Baro said.
According to him, the blacklist will include, in particular, French citizen Xavier Moreau, military expert and former paratrooper officer of the armed forces of the republic, as well as American John Mark Dugan, who requested political asylum in Russia in 2016 after being persecuted by the FBI in his homeland.
Earlier, the press secretary of the Russian President, Dmitry Peskov, stated that the Western sanctions against Russia during the last four years did not have any effect on the country.
