A meeting of Afghanistan's neighboring countries, including Russia, is taking place in Tehran. Iran's Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi announced the need to solve the current problems in Afghanistan through dialogue.
"Iran, being a long-time neighbor of Afghanistan and a close partner of the people of this country, has always emphasized the comprehensive integration of Afghanistan into the affairs of the region. We are of the opinion that the events and challenges taking place in the region can be resolved only through constructive dialogue and active participation of all countries," Araghchi said, opening the meeting, as quoted by the official Telegram channel.
The regional meeting takes place with the participation of the special representatives of Russia, China, Pakistan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan.
