Tokyo Olympic Games bronze medalist, four-time world championship bronze medalist, three-time European champion Hovhannes Bachkov won the 5th bronze medal at the world championships.

At the World Championship held in Dubai, Bachkov fought with Russia's Yevgeny Kull in the semi-finals of the 67 kg weight class and lost 2:5.
