The European Union will continue to put pressure on Moscow, particularly in matters related to Russian assets frozen in the EU, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz announced on December 11.
"We will continue to intensify the pressure on Moscow, we will intensify the pressure and we will continue to actively support Ukraine, especially in the matter of the Russian assets frozen in the EU," he stated at a press conference held in Berlin, talking about the plans of the European Union. Mertz also said that the EU should become part of the peace process in Ukraine.
