According to the US Department of Homeland Security (DHS), the United States has deported 2.5 million foreign nationals since the beginning of 2025, of which 1.9 million voluntarily left the country as part of the self-deportation program and 600,000 were forcibly deported.
“600,000 illegal immigrants have been deported from our country in less than 365 days. Together with the 1.9 million individuals who were voluntarily deported, the total number of illegal immigrants who left the United States exceeded 2.5 million," the department said in a statement.
The Interior Ministry added that the recorded number of deportations is "just the beginning".
