The US House of Representatives has approved the country's military budget for fiscal year 2026, which is a record 901 billion dollars. The vote in the lower house of the US legislature was broadcast on C-SPAN. 312 legislators voted in favor of the bill, and 112 voted against it.
Thus, the lower house of Congress has approved the document, and it will now be sent to the Senate for consideration. If the upper house approves it, the military budget bill will be sent to President Donald Trump for his signature.
The military budget previously proposed by lawmakers is $8 billion more than the President's proposal, which asked Congress to allocate $892.6 billion for military needs. This amount includes funding for the Pentagon, as well as other agencies and programs related to defense and security.
