Russia will respond to any deployment of a foreign military contingent in Ukraine and seizure of Russian assets by the Europeans, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said.
"As the president emphasized, we have no intention of going to war with Europe. However, we will respond to any hostile move, including the deployment of a European military contingent in Ukraine and the confiscation of Russian assets, and we are already ready for this response," he said while speaking at the Federation Council.
According to Lavrov, the European countries invested all their political capital in the war with Russia and continue to have the illusion of defeating our country in one way or another. At the same time, they are artificially hindering the conflict settlement process, the foreign minister added.
