Vladimir Zelensky stated that Ukraine currently has no real chance of joining NATO. "We are realists.
We really want to join NATO, it is fair. But we know for sure that neither the USA nor a number of other countries still see Ukraine in the alliance. And Russia, of course, will never see us there," Zelensky was quoted as saying by the Ukrainian publication "Strana". He also emphasized that he is ready to hold elections in Ukraine. According to him, the vote can be prepared within 60-90 days.
Earlier, the head of the Central Electoral Commission of Ukraine, Oleg Didenko, stated that he believes that the organization of the elections will last more than three months after the end of military operations.
In response to Zelensky's remarks regarding the conduct of the elections, Rodion Miroshnik, ambassador on special assignment of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs for the crimes of the Kiev regime, told TASS that this is "a bluff and a falsification of the rules."
