Restrictions have been set for new EU members

The new members of the European Union (EU) will lose the right of veto on the enlargement, reports Vijesti, referring to European diplomatic sources.

According to the publication, a "virtually consensus" has been formed in the European Union on depriving Montenegro of the right of veto in the upcoming EU membership agreement. A similar decision may be made regarding Albania.

"Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama has already made it clear that Tirana will not have a problem renouncing its right of veto on the accession of other countries to the EU, on the contrary, it will gladly give it up," the publication claims.
