French President Emmanuel Macron said that US President Donald Trump's peace plan is a good basis for work, but it should be "reviewed", reports Reuters.
"It is good in that it offers peace and recognizes important elements in matters of sovereignty and security guarantees. However, it is the basis of the work that must be reviewed, as we did last summer, because, first of all, this program was not agreed with the Europeans," Macron said.
According to him, many of the issues mentioned in Trump's program mainly concern Europeans. Among them are the frozen Russian assets and the European integration of Ukraine, the French president explained. Macron emphasized that some issues "cannot simply be an American proposal" and require wider consultations.
