European leaders are trying to buy time for Ukraine to develop a new agreement to settle the conflict, reports Bloomberg.
It reminds that German Chancellor Friedrich Mertz already discussed Washington's plan with US President Donald Trump by phone and agreed to continue negotiations at the level of national security advisers in the coming days.
As the publication notes, this implies the participation of Marco Rubio, who serves as Trump's national security adviser and secretary of state, and who "views the plan not as a definitive list of conditions, but as a proposal to stimulate new ideas."
Now European leaders will outline the next action plan during the meetings within the framework of the G20 summit, which starts in South Africa on November 22, Bloomberg notes.
