The Washington administration is developing proposals for the settlement of the conflict in Ukraine, taking into account the positions of Moscow and Kiev, and believes that both sides should make concessions. US Secretary of State Marco Rubio announced this on November 19.
As he wrote in X, settlement "requires a detailed exchange of serious and realistic ideas."
"In order to achieve lasting peace, both sides must agree to difficult but necessary concessions," he added.
"That is why we are developing and will continue to develop a list of possible proposals to end this war, based on the information received from both sides of the conflict," the head of the US State Department emphasized.
Western media previously, citing sources, reported that the United States is developing a new plan for the settlement of the conflict in Ukraine and is holding consultations with Russia on this issue.
