The American delegation led by US Army Secretary Daniel Driscoll is in Kiev to review the situation and discuss options for ending the conflict, Reuters reports, referring to the US Embassy in Kiev.
"Secretary Driscoll and his team arrived in Kiev this morning on behalf of the Trump administration as part of a fact-finding mission to meet with Ukrainian officials and discuss the end of the war," the agency quoted the embassy as saying, citing Colonel David Butler, the official representative of the US Joint Chiefs of Staff.
Earlier, Politico reported that US Army Chief of Staff Randy George also traveled to Kiev with Driscoll to negotiate a deal under which Kiev would supply Washington with drone technology.
