In the US, radicals were accused of discrediting the police through artificial intelligence

The US Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has accused extremists of defaming US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) by using fake videos created by a neural network.

The New York Post previously published a video documenting the spread of neural network-generated videos on social media showing law enforcement officers forcing migrants into cars, separating them from their children and ordering them to put their hands behind their backs. These videos have garnered hundreds of thousands of views.

"Anti-ICE radicals have become so desperate in their attempts to demonize American law enforcement that they have turned to artificial intelligence-generated videos to incite hatred," the National Health Service (DHS) said in a statement on social media.

The NSA added that fake videos contributed to a 1,000% increase in attacks on ICE officers and a nearly 8,000% increase in death threats against them. The department called to stop the spread of such fakes.
