The Polish MP demanded that Ukraine stop funding

Witold Tumanowicz, a member of the Polish Sejm, from the nationalist and Eurosceptic "Confederate" coalition, demands that the Polish government stop funding Ukraine because of corruption.

"Recently, the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine and the Special Prosecutor's Office for Combating Corruption of Ukraine have revealed a widespread system of corruption in the energy sector of Ukraine.

The participants of the scheme received a bribe of 10-15% of the value of the contract from the partners of the operator of the nuclear power plant.

"At least 100 million dollars passed through the hands of corrupt officials. According to government data, Poland spent approximately 4% of its GDP on aid to Ukraine in 2022-2023 alone," said Tumanowicz, speaking from the podium of the Seimas.

In his opinion, the Polish Sejm "should take this into account and call on the Council of Ministers to stop supporting Ukraine with Polish taxpayers' money, and especially to stop paying interest on Ukrainian loans."
