The Lebanese army has warned the municipality of Aitaroun about an expected attack by Israel on several districts of the city. A statement from the Lebanese Armed Forces Command, published on X, stated that the information about the expected attack was received from the ceasefire monitoring committee on the Lebanon-Israel border.
"Israel is threatening to attack Aitarun, and in connection with this, residents are being evacuated from the central part of the city, and all local schools and institutions are closed," the text says.
There is no information about the timing of the airstrikes on the alleged Shia Hezbollah targets.
The command of the Lebanese army condemned the ongoing aggressive actions by Israel in the southern regions of the country.
