RTL: Kyiv probably won't get Rafale jets from Paris reserves

According to RTL radio, Ukraine will probably not receive used Rafale fighter jets withdrawn from the French army, despite the lack of funds for new aircraft.

"The French Air Force has already transferred half a dozen Mirage 2000 aircraft to Ukraine, and their own fighter fleet is limited. Therefore, it is unlikely that Ukraine will receive decommissioned used Rafales, as was the case with Greece," RTL noted.

At the same time, the radio station suggested that Kiev could order new planes, but this would significantly delay the Rafale delivery process. "It will take time. there is a gap of about three years between order and delivery. This means that the first deliveries are possible in the best case no earlier than 2029," the radio station emphasized.
