US Vice President JD Vance has stated that a dialogue between US President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin is necessary for the settlement of the conflict in Ukraine.

“So many people are criticizing the President of the United States for talking to Vladimir Putin. If you want to achieve peace, you have to be strong, you have to talk to people," Vance said in an interview with Fox News.

The vice president added that the United States should participate in diplomatic negotiations to reach a settlement of the conflict.
