Pope Leo XIV named his four favorite movies and surprised many parishioners with his choice, CNN reports, citing the Vatican press service.
The list of the best films, according to the grandfather, included "It's a Wonderful Life" (1946, USA), "The Sound of Music" (1965, USA), "Life is Beautiful" (1997, Italy) and "Ordinary People" (1980, USA). Some have pointed out that the latter is a psychological drama about family tragedy and post-traumatic stress disorder.
It is also known that Leo intends to meet several actors, including Cate Blanchett, Dave Franco, Spike Lee and George Miller, in the Vatican Apostolic Palace.
