High-ranking military officials have presented plans for military action against Venezuela to US President Donald Trump, CBS News reports, citing White House sources.
"Secretary of War Pete Hegsett, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Dan Cain and other senior officials briefed the president on military options against Venezuela in the coming days," the publication said.
The options presented to Trump reportedly include strikes directly at targets inside the country, but no final decision has yet been made on whether to launch the operation.
