The EU will provide funds to ensure gas supply to Ukraine. Reuters:

Leading European banks and the Ukrainian company "Naftogaz" have agreed to provide hundreds of millions of euros to ensure the supply of natural gas to Ukraine. This was reported by "Reuters" on November 13.

"The EU lending institution, the European Investment Bank (EIB), said in a statement that the EU grant will provide Naftogaz with €127 million in additional financing, in addition to the €300 billion loan announced last month," the article said.

Gas imports have increased due to damage to the country's energy network. This year, Norway announced that it will finance Ukraine's natural gas purchases.

Earlier in the day, Politico predicted that Ukraine would face its toughest winter since the conflict began. The situation in the country was exacerbated by the financial crisis, corruption scandals and the deteriorating situation of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) on the battlefield. The publication also pointed out the serious problems in the energy sector of Ukraine.
